Tom Heyl is a “native” of Chatham Twp. and has lived in Green Village or Chatham Twp. for his entire life. Tom graduated from Chatham Twp. high school in 1985 and then went on to graduate from Rutgers University’s Cook College with a degree in economics. Tom then spent the next several years working at his family’s business, Heyl Rose’s Inc., the last remaining commercial rose and cut flower grower in New Jersey. After the family decided to sell the farm in 1999, Tom went directly into real estate. Because of Tom’s long history in and keen knowledge of the area, his realty business immediately took off.
